These guys have been popping up everywhere lately. In my opinion the whole G59 sound is taking over and I can see why. This album is short but it hits. The production is dirty as hell, those Three 6 influences are all over it but I think they make it their own. Ruby's delivery is manic, Scrim's is more laid back. It works for me.

"Kill Yourself (Part II)" is the track that got me hooked. "#1 $tunna" has that classic energy. But there's some filler in the middle. I think they got potential but I want to hear more consistency.

Found this through a forum recommendation. Ghostemane is another one of those SoundCloud guys blowing up. This is early stuff, you can tell. The production is lo-fi, almost too lo-fi at times. I think the black metal influences are interesting but don't always mesh.

"Deathwrap" has energy, "Initiation" sets the mood well. But tracks like "Caligula" and "South Pole Ain't Comin' Back" feel like they needed more time. I respect the ambition but in my opinion this one is rough around the edges.

Favorite track: Deathwrap. Least favorite: South Pole Ain't Comin' Back.

Lynch is a legend in my opinion. This album came out when everyone thought he was done and I think he proved them wrong. The production is slick, the storytelling is as graphic as ever. It's not Season of da Siccness but it's close.

The album is long, like 22 tracks. "Meat" is classic Lynch. "Colostomy Bag" is disturbing in the best way. Some tracks could have been cut but when it hits I think it hits hard.

Favorite track: Meat. Least favorite: The Police Is Here! Ama Hit U Bacc (Skit).

Necro is hit or miss for me personally. This one is a hit in my opinion. The production is raw, his delivery is aggressive. It's not as good as Gory Days but I think it's better than his mid-2000s stuff. He sounds focused here.

The title track "DIE!" is great. "Pit" and "Asbestos" have that classic Necro feel. Some tracks like "The Kink Panther" feel like filler. Worth a listen I think.

Favorite track: DIE! Least favorite: The Kink Panther.

In my opinion this is Tech's darkest album. Everyone says it and I agree. The production is moody, the lyrics are personal. He's talking about death, depression, fame. "Low" is the track everyone knows but the deep cuts are where it's at.

"Demons" with Three 6 Mafia is a highlight. "Hunterish" is raw. Some tracks drag with all the skits but the highs are high. Essential Tech.

Favorite track: Low. Least favorite: The Pick Up (Skit).

Twiztid's best? Maybe in my opinion. It's consistent front to back. The production is polished, the hooks are catchy. It's more accessible than their early stuff but still dark.

"Buckets Of Blood" is the standout to me. "Kill With Us" and "Death Note" are classic Twiztid. Some tracks feel like filler but as an album I think it works.

Favorite track: Buckets Of Blood. Least favorite: Woe Woe.

Boondox has a unique sound in my opinion. The country influence sets him apart from other Psychopathic artists. This album is dark, Southern gothic stuff. His voice takes some getting used to but once it clicks I think it works.

"Seven" is the best track. "Lady In The Jaguar" with ICP is a good collab. The production is solid, the stories are well written. It's not for everyone but if you like the style I think it's worth hearing.

Favorite track: Seven. Least favorite: Red Mist.

Blaze is consistent in my opinion. This album is more of the same from him which is fine with me. Gangster horrorcore, catchy hooks, solid production. It doesn't break new ground but I don't think it needs to.

"Deadman Walking" is the best track. "3 Evil Wizards" is a fun collab. "I'm Back" is classic Blaze. If you like Blaze you'll probably like this.

Favorite track: Deadman Walking. Least favorite: Tokyo Spa.

Follow-up to The Harvest. Similar sound, similar quality in my opinion. The Southern gothic thing is consistent. Some tracks hit harder than others. "Country Life" is great. "Walking After Midnight" with ICP has that dark atmosphere.

It's not as fresh as the debut but I think it's a solid album. Boondox has a lane and he stays in it.

Favorite track: Country Life. Least favorite: Fear.

Early AMB. It's rough in my opinion. You can hear the potential but I don't think it's fully realized yet. Production is cheap, flows are uneven. "All Day" with Twiztid is a highlight. "Calm Down" with ICP is fun.

Some tracks work, most don't for me. Worth it if you're a completist I guess. If you're new to them I'd say start with something later.

Favorite track: All Day. Least favorite: Chips 'N' Dip.

I think Mr. Hyde is better with a group. Solo he's hit or miss in my opinion. This album has some good tracks but a lot of filler. The production is dark, his delivery is aggressive but the writing is weak in spots.

"Knife In Your Spine" with Necro is the best track. "Barn Of The Naked Dead" title track works. Diehard Psychopathic fans will probably want it. Casual listeners can skip.

Favorite track: Knife In Your Spine (Satanic Wordplay). Least favorite: Bums.

German horrorcore. I don't speak German so I'm rating this on vibe and production. The beats are dark, the delivery is intense. To me it sounds like what it should sound like.

"Voodoo" and "Horror Clowns" stand out even without understanding the lyrics. The atmosphere carries it. If you like international stuff check it out.

Favorite track: Voodoo. Least favorite: Folterkammer.

Ill Bill's solo debut. In my opinion it was worth the wait. He's got the Necro production but his own style. More political, more street, still dark. The guest list is stacked.

"Uncle Zowie" is a classic to me. "The Anatomy Of A School Shooting" is intense. "Glenwood Projects" has that raw energy. If you like Non Phixion I think you'll like this.

Favorite track: Uncle Zowie. Least favorite: Porno Director.

Blaze's second album. More polished than the first in my opinion. The character stuff is fun, the production is solid. It's not deep but I think it's entertaining.

"Shotgun" with Esham and Jamie Madrox is the highlight to me. "Mr. Deadfolx" with Violent J is good. The rest is consistent. Good album for what it is.

Favorite track: Shotgun. Least favorite: Climbing.

ABK is an acquired taste in my opinion. The Native American thing is unique but the music is hit or miss for me. This album has a few good tracks but a lot of filler. The production is dated, the flows are simple.

"Sticky Icky Situations" with Blaze, Violent J, and Esham is the best track. "Hated Me" with Violent J is decent. The rest I usually skip.

Favorite track: Sticky Icky Situations. Least favorite: In The City.

In my opinion Cage is one of the most twisted guys in hip hop. This album is proof. The production is dark, the lyrics are disturbing. He's talking about real trauma, not just horror movie stuff. It hits different to me.

"Among The Sleep" is haunting. "Agent Orange" is intense. Some tracks are hard to listen to. I think that's the point. Essential underground album in my opinion.

Favorite track: Among The Sleep. Least favorite: Ck Won.

In my opinion Non Phixion changed the game for underground hip hop. This album is a classic to me. Dark, political, paranoid. The production is top tier, the rhymes are sharp. I think it holds up today.

"Black Helicopters" is the anthem. "The C.I.A. Is Trying To Kill Me" is still relevant. "Strange Universe" with MF DOOM is a gem. The whole thing is worth your time in my opinion.

Favorite track: Black Helicopters. Least favorite: Suicide Bomb.

Dark Lotus is a supergroup. I think it works better than it should. The chemistry is there. This album is darker than most Psychopathic stuff in my opinion, which is a good thing.

"Gimme Dat Blood" and "And We Danced" are the standouts. "Juggalo Family" is the anthem. Some tracks are forgettable but worth it for the collaborations.

Favorite track: Gimme Dat Blood. Least favorite: Dot Com.

In my opinion Necro's best album. No question for me. The production is raw, the lyrics are brutal. I think he found the perfect balance between shock value and actual skill. "Gory Days" the track is iconic to me.

"Bury You With Satan" opens strong. "Circle Of Tyrants" is a collaboration dream. "Dead Body Disposal" is classic Necro. Front to back this thing holds up in my opinion. Essential for any horrorcore collection.

Favorite track: Gory Days. Least favorite: All Hotties Eat The Jizz.

Necro's debut. It's raw, it's ugly, I think it's great. The production is lo-fi but that adds to the feel for me. You can hear him figuring out his sound. It's not as polished as Gory Days but I think it's essential.

"I Need Drugs" the title track is raw energy. The freestyles at the end are a nice bonus. The rest is solid.

Favorite track: I Need Drugs. Least favorite: Hoe Blow.

In my opinion Twiztid's second album is their best. Darker than Mostasteless, more polished. The production is great, the hooks are catchy, the lyrics are twisted. "We Don't Die" is the anthem but I think the whole thing works.

"Mutant X" and "Fall Apart" are highlights. "People Are Strange" is a dark cover. Essential Psychopathic album in my opinion.

Favorite track: We Don't Die. Least favorite: I'm Alright.

Been getting requests for this one. Someone on a forum hooked me up with a copy. I'd heard another track of his before, thought it was better than most of this. Beats are from Shadowville Productions. Nothing special but they work. It's not traditional horrorcore, the flow is different, the beats aren't what you'd expect from the genre. It's clear he doesn't really listen to it.

"Confessions" is the best track, sounds like a real killer talking. "A Night of Murder" is the other standout. The skits are pointless and "Numb" drags. It's not bad. Just not something I'd choose to put on.

Favorite track: Confessions. Least favorite: Numb.

Kool Keith's alter ego. It's weird, it's wild, I think it's great. The production is raw, the lyrics are unhinged. He killed off Dr. Octagon on the first track. That sets the tone.

"No Chorus" is exactly what it says. "Neighbors Next Door" is classic Kool Keith storytelling. Not traditional horrorcore but I think it's dark enough to belong.

Favorite track: No Chorus. Least favorite: Live.

Three 6 affiliate. In my opinion this album is a classic. The production is dark, Pat's flow is unique. It's more street than horror but I think the vibe fits. "Ballers" is the hit but the deep cuts are better.

"Ghetty Green" the title track is essential. "Choices" and "Out There" capture that Memphis sound. Essential Southern hip hop.

Favorite track: Ghetty Green. Least favorite: Sucks on Dick.

In my opinion Koopsta's solo album is one of the best Three 6 related projects. The production is haunting, his delivery is hypnotic. "Stash Pot" is the classic but I think the whole album is consistent.

"Torture Chamber" sets the mood perfectly. "Crucifix" and "Robbers" are essential Memphis horrorcore.

Favorite track: Stash Pot. Least favorite: Side A Outro.

Follow-up to Mystic Stylez. More polished, still dark. It's not as raw as the debut but I think it's solid. "Body Parts 2" is the standout. "Tear Da Club Up '97" is the track that blew them up.

"Hit a Muthafucka" and "Late Nite Tip" are classics. The production is classic Three 6. Worth owning if you're a fan.

Favorite track: Body Parts 2. Least favorite: Will Blast.

Lynch's follow-up to Season. It's different, more polished, but still dark. Some fans hate it. I think it's solid. "Siccmade House" sets the tone. "Situation" with E-40 is a unique collab.

The production is cleaner, the flows are tighter. Not as essential as Season but worth hearing.

Favorite track: My Soul To Keep. Least favorite: Bonus Trackz.

ICP at their commercial peak. Too polished, too goofy in my opinion. There's a few good tracks but a lot of cringe. "I Want My Shit" is fun. "Bitches" with ODB is interesting.

The rest I usually skip. For diehards only.

Favorite track: I Want My Shit. Least favorite: Mad Professor.

Esham's group. It's more of the same Esham sound. Dark, raw, lo-fi. Some tracks are great, some are forgettable. "NATAS" the title track sets the tone. "Torture" is a highlight.

Worth it for Esham completists.

Favorite track: Torture. Least favorite: Propalactic Tacticz.

Midwest horrorcore. These guys are underrated. This album is gritty, dark, real. The production is raw, the lyrics are street. "What's On My Mind?" is the classic. "Flint Niggazz Don't Play" captures the energy.

Essential underground.

Favorite track: What's On My Mind? Least favorite: Oxydol.

Not horrorcore but dark enough to belong. Big L was one of the best. This album is a classic. The rhymes are sharp, the production is great. "Da Graveyard" is the darkest track. "Put It On" is pure skill.

Essential hip hop period.

Favorite track: Da Graveyard. Least favorite: All Black.

Bone's masterpiece. Dark, melodic, unique. "Crossroads" is the hit but the deep cuts are better. The Three 6 influence is there but they made it their own.

"East 1999" and "Crept And We Came" are essential. "Mo' Murda" is dark. Essential album.

Favorite track: Mo' Murda. Least favorite: Budsmokers Only.

Lynch's masterpiece. This album defined West Coast horrorcore. The production is dark, the lyrics are graphic, the flows are unique. "Locc 2 da Brain" is the classic. "Rest In Piss" is brutal.

Essential listening.

Favorite track: Locc 2 da Brain. Least favorite: Inhale With Da Devil.

The blueprint. This album changed everything. Dark, lo-fi, terrifying. The production is haunting, the rhymes are occult. "Da Summa" is the classic but the whole thing is essential.

"Break Da Law '95" and "Now I'm Hi Pt. 3" are legendary. Mount Rushmore of horrorcore.

Favorite track: Da Summa. Least favorite: Porno Movie.

One of the first horrorcore albums. It's dated but important. The production is cheesy in spots, the flows are simple. But it paved the way. "Live Evil" is the highlight. "Satanic Verses" caused controversy.

Worth it for historical value.

Favorite track: Live Evil. Least favorite: Sonic Boom.

Perfect album. No other way to say it. RZA at his darkest, Prince Paul on production, the lyrics are insane. "Diary of a Madman" is one of the best tracks ever. "1-800 Suicide" is haunting.

Front to back classic. Essential.

Esham's third album. Controversial title, dark content. The production is raw, the lyrics are shocking. It's not as polished as later stuff but it's essential Esham.

"Game Of Death" with Mastamind and TNT is a highlight. "KKKill The Fetus" title track is as extreme as it gets. Essential for understanding Detroit horrorcore.

Favorite track: Game Of Death. Least favorite: Hot Booty.

Early Esham. This album laid the groundwork. The production is lo-fi, the lyrics are dark. It's not as refined as his later stuff but you can hear him figuring it out.

"Judgement Day" and "Living In Incest" are essential early Esham. "Play Dead" has that raw energy.

Favorite track: Judgement Day. Least favorite: U Wanna Know Somethin'.

The Geto Boys defined Southern hip hop. This album is dark, real, essential. "Mind Playing Tricks on Me" is one of the greatest tracks ever. "Another Nigger In The Morgue" is brutal.

Classic.

Favorite track: Mind Playing Tricks on Me. Least favorite: Punk-Bitch Game.

The beginning. This album started it all. "Mind of a Lunatic" is the track that got them banned. It's raw, it's dark, it's essential. The production is dated but the content holds up.
